It varies, depending on driving habits, conditions, maintenance, and how frequently the car is driven. You can drive one off the lot and if you drive it hard without breaking it in it won't last 10,000 miles. If the car is well maintained, driven easily, not modified, and not left to sit for long enough to dry out the seals, the engine may last as long as 200,000 miles.

The C5 Z06 is computer limited at 174 mph. Some Z06 corvettes with the rev limiter removed top out around 187 mph.
The spears are called body side moldings (BSM's for short) and are an option on all C5 generation Corvettes 1997 thru 2004 model years.

look at the trans pan if its a c5 it will be square with i think 13 bolts the c4 has the same pan i heard the c5 is 7in long and the c4 is 6 something
This sounds like the same problem I had with my 2002 Z06, and many other people have with their C5 Corvettes. There is a problem with the EBTCM (Electronic Brake and Traction Control Module) in the C5. Visit www.absfixer.com to get your module repaired (you have to remove it yourself and send it to them).
