Varies with individual & driving habits. Ceramic are best. Most good brands should give you 60-70k miles. Just check periodically. Most fronts you can just stick your finger(s) thru the wheel & feel the pads.
They are 18mm for the front. I just did mine last night and didn't know the size until I finally found the right wrench.
The new pads will last longer, work better, and be quieter if the rotors are resurfaced.
My second set of rear pads have just been replaced at 47,500 miles
The timing chain will normally last the life of the engine and no regular scheduled maintenance is required. It is changed when the engine is overhauled.
If the battery light and the brake light are on, it is most likely in need of a new alternator which is covered by a recall in 2005. You will likely need a new battery as well, since the alternator is not recharging the battery and has probably drained it, completely. This just happened to me last week. The dealer sold me the vehicle last year without checking and/or taking care of 3 outstanding recalls.
Nissan engines are reported to last years. There are reports of engines with as many as 220,000 miles and still running great.
Nissan 300Z is only a 3.0L. 350Z is a 3.5L. That's not really the answer, but I know the questions on the Z line up, but nothing about any other type. The VQ35DE in the 2003-2005 Nissan Murano is tuned to 242HP The VQ35DE in the 2006-2009 Nissan Murano is tuned to 245HP The VQ35DE in the 2010-Present Nissan Murano is tuned to 265HP The VQ35DE in the 2003-2004 Nissan 350Z is tuned to 287HP The VQ35DE in the 2005-2006 Nissan 350Z is tuned to 300HP The VQ35HR in the 2007-2009 Nissan 350Z is tuned to 306HP The reason that the Murano Engines are tuned to less power is that so the AWD and CVT system would last much longer.
