How long do snails live without water?

I think they can live for around a week since I have snail in my desk and he/she is still alive

My -daughter found a snail on our oatio in Florida 6 weeks ago..a brownish shiny thin shelled one..later in the day, she picked it up..there appeared to be nothing inside. She put it in her jacket pocket, when I went to wash the jacket later, I found the sanil and put it on a shelf...6wks later..I thought it would look nice in my Aquatic Turtle tank...10 minutes later it was on the glass, moving all around ..I couldn't believe my eyes...

any salamander can go weeks without food but not by its own choice. but it can . but should more likely be feed every day or every 3 days if your salamander has a good metabolism
