I have had my sony 50 inch liquid Crystal flat tvf or 4 years and have had no trouble with it at all.

I wast old I would have to replace the back-light bulb every 3-5 years but so far it's hasn't flinched. I believe there is a life time on these crystals but it is on the order of 10 years or more(depending on how you use it) and the settings on the tv.

I am not really familure with the "AQUAS" but 90percent of the people I talk to are not the happiest in the world.

If you need a morei ndepth answer ....

My HDTV does not fill the screen?

That depends on your source.Black bars should show on the sides of your tv when watching standard definition. Make sure you are on the HD version of whichever channel you are trying to watch and it should fix it. Keep in mind that not all content is recorded in HD and you may still have bars on the sides of the TV even if you are on an HD channel.Black bars on the top of the TV are normal when watching some Blu-ray movies. They maintain the original aspect ratio of movie theaters which is the slimmer 1:2.41 vs the 1:1.85 of a 16:9 HDTV broadcast show.In those situations it is normal for your picture not to fill the screen.

Will a 1080p home theater system work with my Panasonic 1080i CRT HDTV?

1080 is a video standard and has nothing to do with the audio. Connect the stereo audio outputs of the tv to the inputs of the home theater. Check the HT menu to be sure it is set for multi channel audio on the input you are using.

How do you set up a PlayStation 3 to play games step by step?

Buy a PS3 and take it homeIf you have an HDTV Buy a HDMI Cable alsoIf you want internet and have an internet service buy a router with or without wireless and one (WiFi connection) or two ethernet cables (ethernet connection)If you do not have internet service and want the internet Sign up with a Cable or DSL ISP ( Internet Service Provider)The PS3 can go next to or under your TV if you want it to stand up because of space you also need to buy a vertical stand. The A/V cable that comes with the PS3 is for 480i or standard connection with two audio and one video plugs that connect to the back of all TVs with RCA plug connections which are color coded and the HDMI goes into the PS3. For HDTVs that you want the best connection and 1080P or any HDTV reception plug an HDMI cable that you purchased into the PS3 and the HDTV.Plug the PS3 power cord in both locations and you may have to turn the TV or HDTV to the location the PS3 was plugged into with the A/V or HDMI cable.Plug your Controller into the cable for charging the controller and into the USB port on the front of the PS3. It will work without being charged as long as it is plugged in. You can use the controller to move about the screen that should be on your TV for the PS3There is a button to push for the game or disc drawer to open and a game can be inserted and will close automatically after you give it a little nudge. Games are expensive and should not be left out of the drawer or there cases. There are also a number of settings you may decide to adjust and it is just too much for me to try to tell all the different conditions. You should go to setting and have your controller shut off with the PS3 or it will just stay on and discharge. The PS3 will not charge your controller while it is off.How do I connect the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system to the Internet? has been added for the related link for an internet connection if you are going to have one. It is recommended as the PS3 and it's games were designed for an internet connection but will work without it.The related link has a video for signing in to the Playstation Network account if you have an online connection How do I create a new PlayStation®Network Master account?

Do 1080p TV sets convert 1080i signal to 1080p format?

All LCD displays use progressive scanning, namely the whole frame is built up line by line rather than odd lines followed by even lines. Therefore, by default, 1080i will be converted to 1080p, but at a frame rate of 25Hz or 29.97Hz. 1080p sets take 1080i cable or satellite signal and convert (deinterlace) it, creating a progressive scan, meaning the picture is painted from the top to the bottom line (there are 1080 such horizontal lines) in a single pass, and this process (in the US) happens 60 times per second. 1080p is normally run at 50Hz (Europe) or 59.94Hz (North America). 1080i is normally half that frequency. Even if the signal is converted from 1080i to 1080p, there is no additional picture information and therefore, little is gained by the conversion. If the television actually does the conversion, it is worth doing a comparison between converted and unconverted to see which produces the most pleasing results.

What is a widescreen flat panel lcd HDTV?

Widescreen refers to the ratio of width to height. Widescreen has a greater width than a standard TV.Flat panel refers to the flat surface of the display. Older televisions were more rounded, in an attempt to keep the distance from the electron gun relatively even to minimize focus problems.LCD refers to the Liquid Crystal Display technology that is used to generate the picture.HDTV refers to the image quality. But recognize that there is a difference between HDTV and "digital" tv. HDTV is a higher quality picture, Digital just means that the signal is sent digitally, allowing TV stations to send multiple TV signals across the same broadcast frequency.
