about 2 to 5 minutes....but either way i would still be cautious

WARNING: The air bag system can injure or kill you if an airbag deploys while you are working on it. There is a very specific procedure, dictated by the manufacturer, that must be followed in order to properly discharge the capacitor and to prevent static electricity from deploying the air bag.

If you do not know this procedure, and/or you do not follow the procedure exactly, you must not work on any component of the automobile that could place you in risk of a air bag deployment. Needless to say, but I will say it anyway, this includes components that might not be obviously related to the air bag, such as body work, welding, etc. or work in the area of the sensors.

How does a capacitor act as battery?

Only in that it can store energy. However, the energy stored in a capacitor is usually very small, compared to a battery; and it can only hold the energy for a short time.

What is used to store potential electrical energy?

A Battery or a capacitor.

What is the difference between capacitor and battery?

CAPACITOR'S REACTANCE CHANGES WITH FREQUENCY WHEREAS A BATTERY'S RESISTANCE IS FIXED. ALSO BATTERY STORES ENERGY AND IS EXPRESSED IN UNITS AS AMPERE-HOURS, WHERE AS CAPACITOR STORES CHARGE AND AND IS EXPRESSED IN UNITS AS MICRO / NANO FARADS

Can a capacitor store electric energy from a wind mill to discharge into a storage battery?

Yes, but it would not be cost effective. The battery has more "capacity" than a capacitor. Best to simply charge the storage battery directly from the wind mill.

How do you save light energy?

By converting it to electrical energy and then chemical energy through photovoltaic cells and storing in some form of battery or capacitor.

Purpose of a battery?

to crank the engine and then function as a capacitor for unused electrical energy when the alternator is running

Can a generator store electricity?

Nope, it just creates it. A Battery or a Capacitor is capable of storing energy.

What electrial device stores energy?

That could be a power cell (battery), or more correctly, a capacitor.

What is a device that transforms electrical energy?

A battery or a fuel cell converts chemical energy directly to electrical energy

Calculate the energy delivered by 20V battery to a capacitor of capacitance 10uF?

the formula for energy stored in a capacitor is (1/2)*cv^2 given v=20v, c =10*10^-6 f by using this information you can easily calculate the energy

Why the flash of a camera is commonly powered by a capacitor?

Camera flashes use a capacitor because a capacitor can dump a lot of electrical energy very quickly. Much faster than a battery. That's how to produce a quick flash by using a capacitor that suddenly discharges the electricity.

How can electricity be stored?

In a way it can be. If a capacitor is connected to a battery, it will charge to the battery voltage. Then the capacitor can be discharged into a circuit to do work. But the capacitor doesn't store electrons, it stores an electrical field in the dielectric. If you mean storing the flowing electrons in a conductor, then they can't be stored except in a magnetic containment field such as in a cyclotron. A rechargable battery doesn't store electrons either, it stores energy in a chemical form which is converted to an electrical form when the battery is connected to a circuit.
