It should stop hurting in about a day. Make sure you wash it well and put a little peroxide or antibacterial ointment on it. It will be completely gone in about three days as long as you don't keep touching it and breaking the scab that forms.

∙ 14y agoA hamster bite should heel in a week. i myself have had many hamster bites so it will heel faster if u clean it reguarly and put neosporin on it.If the hamster bite do not heal soon your hamster may have rabies. It is one of the symptoms of bite with rabies. LONG TO HEAL.

Hamsters are easier to take care of. And they like to play in your hand. DON'T FORGET THEY BITE ! So i think a hamster should be better for a 10 year old because they can take care of them easier. they won't be as ruff with them as a 7-year-old will.
