In Psalm 90 v 10 Moses says, 'The days of our years are threescore years and ten. and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labor and sorrow.'
This seventy to eighty year life span is of course a generalization, and is only now being attained regularly in the so-called civilized world, although down through the ages various people groups and individuals have of course reached this age and greater. Note the reference at the end of the verse to diminishing quality of life.
In the context of Moses day, he is referring to the post-flood world in which we of course still are. Many would also interpret this verse as being descriptive of the way things are rather than prescriptive of the way they must be. In either case it is certainly an accurate generalization.
