It depends on the temperature and humidity in the area surrounding the cup. The hotter it is, the quicker the water will evaporate.
If it is cold then the water will evaporate slowly. Too cold and it will freeze. But even ice evaporates although slowly.
There are too many variables to determine.
Is the cup of water in a cup or on a cookie sheet? The more surface area of the water the faster it will evaporate. You also have to factor in the temperature (if it is 32 degrees it will take an awfully long time!) as the hotter the faster it will evaporate. And the humidity of the air is also a factor.
Mark's answer is totally correct - there is no way to predict evaporation because there are too many different things you can do to make it evaporate more quickly or more slowly. That would make a great science experiment - put the water in different types of containers and measure how long it takes for each one to evaporate.
depends of the temp of the water or room its in
This depends upon temperature, pressure, water area exposed, etc.
it depends on surface area and humidity
open or close will 10 hours
This depends on many factors.
This depends on many other factors.
This depends on many factors.
Yes Water can evaporate inside. Have you ever taken a really hot shower and then your mirror fogs up? That's because the water was hot enough to evaporate then condensed on your mirror.
Because there is more water in a bucket than in a cup, and more energy has to be put into the bucket of water than the little cup of water to bring them to the same temperature.
1 cup = 8 fluid ounces, regardless of what's in the cup. Even if it's empty.
When a cup is filled with boiling water, the heat from the water caused the material of the cup to experience thermal expansion. If the cup is badly made, then different parts of it will expand to different extents and this will create stresses in the material of the cup causing it to crack.
Yes - the energy to evaporate the liquid comes from the remaining liquid - which results in it cooling down. That's why when you are wet and a breeze blows over you, you feel colder as the water on you evaporates (unless the air is already so saturated with water that no evaporation can occur)
This depends on many factors.
it takes 1 hour and 30 minutes for a 1/2 cup of salt to evaporate
If you mean, when will the entire cup evaporate, you are supposed to divide 1 by 1/3.
It could take between one and four months for a cup of water to evaporate indoors at 65 degrees depending on the surface area and the humidity.
This depends on many factors: temperature, pressure, area exposed to atmosphere, etc.
Volcano. The effect of water and/or light on plants. How long it takes an egg to cook. How long does it take to evaporate a cup of water.
The answer is impossible; many factors affect this evaporation.
Jubair-al-rashid doesn't know
This is not true.
Yes, it is correct.
The salt will dissolve in the water, the water will evaporate and is turned to water vapor(steam) and the salt will be the only one left behind in the cup.
I don't know where you are. - You may well be in a climate where it will never evaporate. Or you could be in central Sahara where it will evaporate in about 8hrs.
