Bell peppers - plant in mid May, they bloom in June/July, form peppers shortly afterwards, and you will be picking peppers in late August, September and into October, if you do not have an early frost.

Good luck !

Is pepper a vegitable?

heck YES.(I THINK) The genus Pepper as in Black Pepper, Culeb, Long Pepper, Capsicum, Bell Pepper, Chili Pepper, Datil Peppers are all FRUITS. A simple explanation is that all fruits contain their own seeds and vegetables do not. Botanists classify Peppers and fruits, cooks classify them as vegetables. Peppers taste better as a main course and are not so popular as a dessert
