It depends on a lot of factors; where it is, how deep, what kind of scar etc.. It's also different for all skin types. Keep the area moisturized and out of direct sunlight (wear sunblock if you're going to be in the sun). In general it takes about a year for moderate-severe wounds to lose that pinkish color.
Well, I had an accident where a car ran over my foot and scraped it along the tarmac a little (sorry if you just had dinner) and it took 2 months to turn into a scab and then 4 weeks to become a pink scar. It goes purple or black when it is cold or wet. Mine still hasn't turned white again and the accident was 4 months ago now. Some are permanent - mine is, but others aren't. I later found my kind of accident is called Road Rash. They include all accidents where abrasion has been caused by tarmac. Put cocoa butter on it or olive oil. Happy Healing!
Many times has this happened to me. The pink skin will last about 1 1/2 months but you will have a permanent scar there with the coloration of your regular skin.
Bruises don't scar. They can take a long time to fade though.
It only takes a few days for a small scar to form. Large scars may take a few days or weeks to form.
that probably means that its infected
it may never go away, just like any other scar. to reduce scarring you can use scar reduction cream (mederma, ect)
Too long. About a month
it doesn't go pink it stays blue
White Scar Cave was discovered by Christopher Long in 1923.
Yes it does scar.
Initially, a scar is red because blood vessels are created while the body forms scar tissue. The damaged area is covered by a protective scab that eventually falls off. The scar may become brown or pink. It generally fades over time.
The knife wound left a scar two inches long.
sure it does. How badly you scar depends on how long you have the piercing, how well it healed and how badly you personally scar.
