Downloads also sometimes give an estimation (5 minutes, 11 seconds left) about the speed, and display the rate in kilobytes, like 432 kps (kilobytes per second). There are 1024 kilobytes in a megabyte, and assuming a rate of 350 kps it would take around 2.9 seconds. To find it out how much time it would take with the rate you have, divide 1024 by the amount of kilobytes downloaded per second.
