Depending on where you start in Montego Bay and where you end in Ocho Rios, as well as traffic conditions, the drive is anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes or so.
an hour and a half
It takes approximately 2 hours 47 minutes to drive from Ocho Rios, Jamaica to Negril, Jamaica. The two cities are separated by 110.6 miles.
1 and 1/2 to 2 hours
Takes me about 2 and half hours from Reynold's pier Ocho Rio to the Roundabout in Negril. can take longer during rush hour in Montego Bay. Budget 3 hours if you have to get back to a cruise ship.
Budget 5 hours at least. The 109 kilometres from Port Antonio to Ocho Rios is plagued by pot holes, road construction, one lane bailey bridges and overloaded lorries. Good Luck.
The flight time is 2 hours, 47 minutes.
roughly 4 hours on the new highway
It takes approximately 3.5 to 4 hours
It depends where in Jamaica you are going. From the airport in Montego Bay it is about 55 miles or one hour and fifteen minutes to the Resort area of Negril. If you are going to Ocho Rios it's about an hour in the other direction (45 miles). If you are going to Port Antonio it is more conveniant to fly into Kingston airport and then travel for about 2 hours transiting the east side of the island to reach that destination.
It is 108 kilometers of potholes, one lane bridges, slow lorries, and road construction between Ocho Rios and Port Antonio Jamaica. If you follow the route taxis you'll be able to dodge the larger potholes and arrive in Portie with your exhaust system and oil pan intact. I try to leave Ochie before two in the Afternoon in order to get into Port Antonio before sunset, which is about 6:15pm. Budget at least 3 and half hours if you know how to drive in Jamaica. It is a pretty drive though. And the bridge on the B4 to Newcastle in Annotto Bay got washed out in the last hurricane so there's no shortcut to Kingston at all anymore. Good Luck
3 and 1/2 to 3 hours
