Standard labor time to remove and replace the transimssion without transfer of parts on a 1999 Chrysler LHS is 5.1 hours, with complete transfer of parts, it's 5.7 hours.
Only the transmission needs to be removed. One day.
2 hours in America and 1 hour in Jamaica
Yes as long as the 99 is the OLD body style.
forever dude... forever
If you are going long distances it is best to remove the driveshaft
the back bell bolt? need long extension 18mm socket, look over pass side axle while pushing pass side wheel spindle out to back
You actually have to put it into the transmission fluid dipstick hole using a long funnel. I just did this tonight after speaking with my mechanic.
The transfer case makes it 4x4 not the transmission. As long as the trannys are the same should work
remove the transmission dipstick and use a long nose funnel and with the vehicle running in idle add atf (automatic transmission fluid) to the vehicle
About 3 hrs. To take it out.
having the wrong fluid in the transmission can damage the transmission rather quickly. even performing a flush will not remove all the gear oil from the unit. At this point it will be nessisary to remove the transmission, replace the "soft" parts and clean the entire transmission. Mac's Transmissions Houston, TX
It's a long procedure. There is a website dedicated to Eclipse owners - www.club3g.com
