Suboxone requires tapering. If you have used it for a three to four day detox, then it should only take the last day to day and a half to taper off of it, by cutting the usual 8/2 twice a day dose in half (e.g. 1/2 pill twice a day for one day), then in half again (e.g. 1/2 pill once a day for the last day of detox).
However, if Suboxone has been used for a longer period of time, then more gradual tapering is desirable.
As always, it is best to consult with your prescribing physician.

Don't take methadone it is very addictive and way stronger. Suboxone is way better and safer for coming of oxycodone. With Suboxone you would only have to take 2-4 mg.
Time to wait to take Lortab after SuboxoneI have been on Suboxone for 11 months. I had to have surgery 4 months ago and was taking 6mgs. Suboxone per day. Before I decided to take Lortab post-op I discussed this with my pharmacist. I was told that one can safely take Lortab 3-4 hours after last Suboxone dose. I decided to go ahead and tolerated the Lortab very well. Conversely, the same time is needed to resume taking Suboxone.
Yes you can. Taking suboxone first and then using can cause you to have withdrawals. But 12 hours should be enough to take subutex/suboxone
Yes. As long as you substitute it with the same dosage you can. They are the same exact thing with the same method of administration.
Suboxone, which contains buprenorphine and naloxone, can block the effects of other opioids like hydromorphone for an extended period. Typically, it takes about 24 to 72 hours for the effects of Suboxone to diminish enough to safely use hydromorphone without experiencing withdrawal symptoms or precipitated withdrawal. However, individual factors such as metabolism, dosage, and duration of Suboxone use can affect this timeframe. It's crucial to consult a healthcare professional for personalized advice and safety considerations.
can you fail a drug test by touching suboxone or kissing someone that is taking suboxone films
Let your doctor know that you are on Suboxone, and what your dosage level is. Then, your doctor (including the ones in the hospital, postoperatively) can give you the appropriate dose of opioid equivalent medication for pain relief. Definitely talk to your doctor about this.
Taking tramadol before suboxone should not cause any serious issues; however, it is always best to consult a medical professional before taking or mixing drugs.
