It depends entirely on the preparation and storage medium.
If it was purchased at the store, there will be an expiration date on the packaging.
If it has been opened, it will keep for about a week in the refrigerator.
If it is homemade, it will keep for about a week in the refrigerator.
If it is canned, it must be pressure canned (traditional mincemeat contains beef suet so must be treated as if you were canning meat), and will last one year to indefinitely.
Because it contains beef suet, ir does not freeze well, that is unless it is baked into a pie already.
We are on five years with contiunally added rum to maintain moisture.
The condensed mincemeat is gluten free, the jar versions are not.

If the jar is still sealed, it is probably safe. But I'd be more concerned that the flavor and texture would still be good. I'd just get a new jar.
