I gained 40 pds in three months on seroquel. With me the weight loss began immediatly as well as my hunger pains subsiding. I have been off of it for 2 months and have lost 30 pds. I can't say that it *causes* flushing and/or hot flashes. I *can* say that the detailed prescribing information (found on www.seroquel.com by clicking on "SEROQUEL prescribing information"), on page 38 under the Cardiovascular System, notes that vasodilatation is is an infrequent side effect. I am not a doctor or nurse, I am, however, taking Seroquel. I have a problem with flushing, even while not on medication. I don't know if it's just me imagining things, but it seems like the flushing has been exaggerated since taking the Seroquel. I'd also like to know if anyone has noticed flushing, or an increase in flushing, while taking Seroquel. I had really bad hot flashes and chills while taking seroquel. I had a bunch of tests ran on me, the doctors couldn't figure out what was wrong. But 5 days after stopping Seroquel, the hot flashes stopped.

umm if your taking 1200mg of seroquel and your not passing right out, you might want to switch to some immediate release seroquel, sounds like you are on the XR.

I've been lifting weights since taking seroquel, it has caused no problems. Since seroquel makes you sleepy its good for helping you sleep after a big workout leaving you feeling refreshed the next day.
