The serum will stay underneath the skin until the body has made the "new" skin. After that, the body will absorb the serum (recycle) then the skin on top will die and the new skin will appear.
There are so many different things that can cause a blister. You can get a blister from a burn or from using an area of skin for a long time. An example would be, cutting brush or pulling weeds.
It depends how bad it is, it should be gone in a couple of days or maybe week/s
As cold as you can. Putting it immediately into ice water and keeping it there as long as you can will reduce the size of the blister that will form.
a blister takes about 1-2 weeks to heel just as long as you don't pick it
it is only contagious as long as you have the serum on you. once you take a shower and get it off of you it is no longer contagious, but you need to make sure anything that came in contact with it needs to be washed as well if not the person that touches it could get it also. if you burst a blister it is not contagious the blisters are a natural reaction from our body to get rid of it. What's wrong is that you burned it. You shouldn't have popped the blister - it forms to protect the burnt area. The best way to treat a minor burn is to run cold water over the affected area for about 10 times as long as you think you should need to.

A fever blister will last about 2 weeks.
Oral phosphates can lower serum calcium levels, but the long-term use of this approach is not well understood.
so far my daughter has had a blister on palm of hand that has lasted 5 days and is raised aprox. 1/2 in over palm. Burn caused by wood stove. it's still full of fluid and not popped. 06/06/11-I've got one on the palm of my hand from a plastic oven handle sticking to it. It's been about 2 weeks now and still full of fluid, but doesn't hurt at all. Just feels weird to have this big thing on my hand. I'm going to see how long it takes on its own.
2 to 4 hours tops!
