I add vitamin c powder and some lemon juice at times, filling 1 serving jars (8oz) to the top where it will over flow a touch when you seal it with the lid. The juice still tastes fresh 3-4 days later. I realize fresh juice is the best, but I am finding this is 2nd best to immediate.
1. Adding an adequate preservative or other food additives during the preparation.
2. Boil the juice, pour in a bottle and seal.
3. After opening maintain the juice in a refrigeration unit.
Vegetable juice may be canned, which increases its shelf life to 12 to 18 months. Alternately, it may be frozen which will last for about a year.
In an open container, 30 - 45 minutes before oxidation sets in.

Orange juice that is opened does not stay fresh for long if it is not refrigerated. You should not drink it if it has been out for longer than a couple of hours.

This food will only last a few days. 4 days in the refrigerator if the food is stored properly. Place in an air tight container for the best results. You can transfer the food to the freezer if longer storage is needed.
Most vegetables can stay fresh up to 3 weeks, depending on the sensitivity of the vegetable. For instance lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes can't last that long, cabbages, carrots and lots others can.
Check the expiration date, usually in small black letters on the bottle or jar.
