There are four species of lynx. Of these, three are least concern. Only the Iberian lynx is threatened, with a conservation status of Critically Endangered. They are threatened due to habitat loss, road casualties, feral dogs, poisoning (now illegal), poaching, and a decline in the population of rabbits, one of their main food sources.
