It depends on which type of bird you are talking about but it has been scientifically proven that birds can recall memories in very accurate detail, up to months after the memory was first stored. An example of this is that many birds often spend their autumns storing seeds in various places. Most of the time those birds can relocate the seeds with surprising accuracy.
