New Jersey statutes allow expungement of indictable offenses and disorderly offenses, if the defendant does not have any prior or subsequent indictable offenses, less than 3 convicted disorderly offenses when expunging an indictable offense, and less convictions 4 when expunging a disorderly offense. All fines must be paid, and a waiting period that begins at the completion of the sentence must be met (5 years for disorderly offenses - 10 years for indictable offenses).
Not all offenses are eligible.

You, and your offense, must qualify under the law for expungement. See below link for further information:
There is no such thing as an automatic expungement of criminal records nor do they disappear from your record after a certain length of time has passed. If you have already applied for expungement, there is no legal requirement that this be accomplished within a certain timeframe. Your request must wend its way through the administrative and legal process of the courts before a decision will be rendered, and you must be patient. If you have not yet applied for expungement and wish to know more about the process in Virginia, see the below link:
There is a process that one needs to go through to get an expungement for your record in the state of Louisiana. Depending on the crime, you can file for an expungement of the record after five years.
Expungement can clear your entire record. It only applies if the DUI is the only thing on your record.

If you get your permit when you are seventeen in New Jersey, you have to wait six months until you get your provisional license...Then I think you have to wait until you have your license for six months or a year until you get your regular driver's license..
2 years for NJ representatives
You have to have your rights restored, which, strictly speaking has nothing to do with expungement.
ANYONE can submit a petition/motion for expungement, there is no limitation. The only requirement for expungement is that you have completed your sentence and/or exhausted all appeals.
