It is safe for me to assume that you or your spouse is in the armed forces since you are leaving from K-town. The trip can be as short as 2hrs and 28 mins if you go by ICE. If you decide to go by RE (regional express aka the slower cheaper train), then by TGV expect it to be right under 4 hours. If you go towww.bahn.de and go to "english" you can chart your own trip and purchase online. Just make sure that if you buy the tickets online that you print out the verification and make sure that the card that you use to pay for the ticket is with you, when you travel because while on the train they will check your printout and verify that the card numbers match! Also i strongly recommend that you reserve a seat for the trip, it cost up to 6 euros more but it is worth it, a train ticket means you have a right to be on the train and not necessarily a right for a seat. Me and my wife were thank full when you paid for a family room on the train, the whole train was crowded with people standing but we had a cabin to ourselves. I have traveled all over Europe by train and if you need any help, please feel free to email me at ron_quita1999@Yahoo.com. Me and my family spent countless weekends at K-town and ramstein enjoying the BX!!!!

It depends where in Belgium to where in Germany. As Belgium and Germany border one another, you could get a local train one stop across the border, or you could travel from Ostend to Frankfurt-an-der-Oder. It also depends on when you travel, how far in advance you book, whether you travel on a normal or high-speed train and whether you travel first or second class. Purely as an example. Single Cologne to Brussels, second class, for tomorrow, NOT using a High-Speed train is between €41.40 and €51.40. These prices are from the German Railways website. See below for a link.
