I asked my vet this same question about my 5 month old poodle. He said they can walk a long time about 1 to 2 hours with a break in there. Take water and be prepared to carry your pet if it get tired. Don't run him at first, work up to a longer distance. Poodles love to run fast by the way. Always ask your vet when starting something new.
