There is a use by or best before date printed on the tin. If an especially long time after this date, plus storing in a warm place, the ends may start to bulge due to excessive pressure. The beer will probably not taste very nice.

If they are in a sealed can and do not have any bulges on the sides, top or bottom, it is probably okay. Open them up and check for an off-smell or odor, or off-colored. It also depends on how long it has been expired, but some canned foods are good for years after the expiry date.
