Queen Elizabeth I of England, born 7th September 1533, was the daughter of King Henry VIII and his second wife Ann Boleyn. She became Queen on 17th November 1558 following the death of her elder sister, Queen Mary I. Mary was the daughter of Henry VIII and his first wife Catherine of Aragon. Elizabeth's coronation was in London on 15th January 1559. She reigned until her death on 24th March 1603 and was succeeded by King James I of England who was also King James VI of Scotland.
