The aboriginals, Asians and North Americans usually make the longhouses. The longhouses are about 25 to 30 meters long. The longhouses are made 6 to 9 length and weight. Each longhouse can live up to 6 families including the parents, the children, the aunts, the uncles and the grandparents.

The first longhouses can be dated back to around the 1700s. The longhouses were built with a low roof so that the houses were easy to heat. The Iroquois Indians built longhouses that were as high as 350 feet and close to 23 feet wide.

Long houses were such an obvious invention that they ahve been used by different tribes in very different locations. Vikings, Native Americans, Amazon Indians to mention some.


This happened way Before the idea of patents had gotten known, so there's no patent on longhouses.
