How long will a size G oxygen cylinder last?

Depending on the flow rate. A G tank holds 5,300 liters of Oxygen. so just divide that buy the rate you are setting it to flow at. A non-rebreather at 15 lpm should last you close to 6 hrs. normally though the tank should be refilled before it gets down to around 200 psi, just to be safe.

Is it dangerous to sleep in the room with someone using an oxygen concentrator?

Typically a person using Oxygen will use it with a mask or with a cannula. A typical Concentrator will produce between .5 LPM (liters per minute) and 10 LPM. Your body should be OK if you had the Cannula or mask on you because the Boy only pulls Oxygen out of the air. Other elements (Nitrogen, co2, Xenon, Krypton, etc.) are not used by the body and are exhaled. If you breathed in Pure Oxygen you would exhale some Pure Oxygen and co2. Does oxygen therapy actually work for hangover?

Like almost everything else that effects the human body, Different types of hangover "Cures" vary in effectiveness from person to person. In my personal experience it works very well. I actually work for a company that supplies Oxygen when I heard of this as a treatment for a hangover cure I decided to give it a try. I used (2)LPM (Liters Per Minute) for 30 minutes in the morning after a heavy night of drinking (Combined with a large glass of water and a glass of 100% fruit juice) I was a brand new man in no time. It's worth a try if your curious. Note: Oxygen in large quantities such as 5+LPM can be harmful to some people.

How do convert LPM to NLPM?

Conversion from LPM to NLPM: NLPM = LPM * (273.15/Tgas)*(Pgas/14.696) Where Pgas is absolute pressure in PSI Tgas is gas temperature in Kelvin e.g. Convert 1000LPM to nLPM value by considering the gas temperature 30 deg. cel. & absolute pressure 1 bar NLPM = 1000 * (273.15/303.15)*(14.50377/14.696) NLPM = ~ 890 - Sanjay Rajput (Pune)

How long will a size h oxygen cylinder last?

This will depend upon the gas flow rate. A size E oxygen cylinder in the UK contains 680 litres of compressed gas. At a flow of 10L/min for medical emergency use the cylinder will therefore last 68 mins. However if used at 6L/min it will last nearly 2 hours. In the US we use PSIG (gauge level). at full a tank is about 2200 PSI on any given tank size, and the E cylinder has a tank factor of 0.28. So you take take the PSI and multiple it by by the tank factor and divide that number by the flow rate. So at full, 2200 x 0.28 = 616 and dvided that by the flow rate. The final number is the total number of minutes at the given flow rate. So at 2 liters per minute (2 lpm) a completely full E cylinder will last 308 minutes or 5.13 hours (divide total minutes by 60 to get hours). 140 minutes at 4lpm, and so on. You deffinetly want to call your oxygen supplier well before the guage gets to the red. With most guages the very start of the red line (the end farthest from empty) is around 500 PSI. A good rule of thumb is to round down to the nearest whole hour when figuring duration. So when I've needed to I look at 5.16 hours and say 5 hours. If you do run out or are into the red already, call 911 (or your local emergency service), all ambulances carry oxygen and better to have them arrive and use their O2 than to call your oxygen service because ambulance should be able to get their faster. Remember, at the very beginning of red (500 PSIG) a E cylinder will only last 140 divided by flow rate...so 70 minutes at 2lpm, 35 minutes at 4lpm, etc. Dont risk it, when in red, call 911 first, then your oxygen supplies...that is as long as you dont have any other cylinders to use. common tank factors: H Cylinder factor is 3.14 D cylinder factor is 0.16 (typical portable oxygen size) * in the USA, all oxygen tanks, when completely full, are 2200 PSI, if you know the tank factor, you can easily compute the duration. Calculating liquid oxygen is a whole nother ball of wax....

How long will a size D cylinder last?

An average d size tank will last for about 20 min with a non re breather at 15 lpm Duration = ((current pressure -200) x tank factor) / flow rate tank factors are M=1.56 E=0.28 D=0.16

How many liters of oxygen is 30 percent?

Each litre is equivelant to approximately 3%. 35% Oxygen is about 5 litresThis math here is only correct if you are using a nasal cannula to deliver the oxygen. Respiratory therapy only uses this as an estimate since the cannula isn't the most effective oxygen delivery system but is the most comfortable for a patient.21% Fio2 is room Air, that is we breath in normally, for anyone without any supplemental Oxygen. The first 1 liter is 3%Fio2, which is 21% +3% =24%Fio2, thereafter it is 4% to each liter flow of oxygenFirst liter of Oxygen which is 1Lpm =3% + 21%(Room Air) Total = 24% Fio2 Add 4% for each liter flow there 2Lpm= 28% Fio23Lpm= 32% Fio2Save4Lpm= 36% Fio25Lpm= 40% Fio26Lpm= 44% Fio2For a Venturi Mask which is more effective especially for patients with COPD the Fio2 settings are as follows:White cap:35% FiO2 set lpm at 940% FiO2 set lpm at 1250% FiO2 set lpm at 15Green cap:24% FiO2 set lpm at 3lpm26% FiO2 set lpm at 3lpm28% FiO2 set lpm at 6lpm30% FiO2 set lpm at 6 lpm

What flow rate of oxygen should be administered to treat altitude sickness?

2-4 LPM by nasal canula.

Can you use a bubble humidifier with a non re-breather oxygen mask?

nasal cannula with LPM greater than or equal to 4

Why is important use the correct mask and flow rate when administering oxygen?

Using a non-rebreathing oxygen mask at under 10 lpm of oxygen flow can cause carbon dioxide to build up and be re-inhaled by the patient.
