it gernally takes 4-6 days. you can gargle with little warm water with 3 pinches of salt in morning & evening before bed. chew crushed ginger with 1 spoon of honey 3-4 times a day.. reduce oil & spices till you get fine. drink herbal tea with tulsi leaves, dal chini powder, clove powder in it.

Once you have been on antibiotics for at least 24 hours, some doctors say 48, you are no longer contagious. Once past that point, it is entirely up to how you feel.

Sleep as much as you can! Stay in bed! Have someone help you if you can. And don't try to be all "heroic" and drag in to work or school. That isn't strong, it's stupid. Not to mention inconsiderate because you can pass it on to others.Pneumonia and especially scarlet fever are possible outcomes from neglecting strep throat, and sometimes they can be lethal.Take it seriously.
