Becoming a fitness model isn't just about "time", but also dedication and discipline. While it's easy to assume that fitness models (both male and female) are just "born that way", that's often not the case. While some people are born with certain physical traits that allow them to get a very lean, muscular and defined physique more quickly (and with less effort) than others, there are many successful fitness models that at some time in their life may have been overweight or not in peak condition. However, through diet and training, these individuals were able to transform their physiques into an image of fitness. In terms of how long it would take a person to "transform" their physique to look like a fitness model, this really depends on their current physical condition, body fat to lean muscle ratio and the amount of time and attention they are willing to devote to achieving their goals. It's not unusual for some individuals to radically transform their physique within 12 months of very focused training and disciplined eating. Even then, most fitness models still have areas they would like to improve, and maintaining that "fitness model look" requires ongoing discipline and dedication. The most important thing to understand is that having a fitness model physique (whether male or female) requires having a high lean tissue (muscle) to low body fat ratio. Adding muscle requires proper nutrition and regular eating. Many people assume that fitness models (especially female fitness models) get their body from not eating or calorie restriction. It's actually just the opposite. You cannot starve your way to a great, toned body. Also, getting a fitness model physique requires a lot of weight training -- and not just training with five pound dumbbells and performing 30 reps. Most fitness models train with heavy weights and keep their reps quite low. This is the case for both male and female fitness models.

It depends upon your starting point. If you are a competitive bodybuilder, contest preparation usually takes 3 to 6 months. If you have never done any resistance training, it will take years of intense, regular work. The best book on this is Larry Pepe's THE PRECONTEST BIBLE.

It takes about a month or two, because you gotta get used to the eating less junk food and more of the healthy food, and you gotta get your cardio used to the point where you can run 2 or 3 miles. Till than you you can have a chance to last atleast the threee rounds with your component! Good Luckkk to yaa. :)
