From everything I read you are to lose one lb a week to ensure safety and results that last. So doing the math based on that information, you can lose 55 lbs in 55 weeks. A pound is 3500 calories so you must decrease your caloric intake and increase your activity in order to burn more calories than you consume. You can, of course, lose more than one pound a week, just be sure you are feeding your body properly (plenty of water and food with nutrients, not empty calories). Good luck.

Depends how much you weigh and how much effort you are willing to put into it. If you weigh a lot it is easier to lose that excess weight. Then if you you are willing to discipline yourself to start eating smarter and working out then you could lose pounds even faster.
