God doesn't really have a son, unless you count Jesus. I say he doesn't have a son because Jesus is really a part of God himself, but yeah, technically he is his son. So he has one son (although Jesus was born from Mary, who was a virgin when she fell pregnant).

Another Answer:
From eternity, the God Family consisted of the Father and the Word - two divine beings. In the God's Plan to save mankind, the Word would need to take on human life, being the 1st begotten of the Father.
Jesus' sacrifice opened the door for many humans to fully repent, be baptized and have the laying on of hands to receive God's Holy Spirit - in effect, being begotten but for the spiritual world to come if they hold strong to the end. God desires a Family of many sons and daughters and nothing will prevent that:
Romans 8:14New King James Version (NKJV)14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.
All who have already died (sleeping) and were given God's Spirit are now His Sons and Daughters - awaiting the 1st Resurrection of the firstfruits.
Jesus Christ is God's only begotten son (in the flesh).
All men are sons of God (in the spirit).
