I have a 97 wrangler with 35" tires. MPG is horrible. I still have the stock 3:07 differentials and am planning to upgradeto 4.10 which may help or hurt, don't know. Meanwhile, I am lucky to get about 10-12 MPG on the road, combined. 3:07 gears with 35" tires is a really bad setup and I am sure hurts your performance and MPGs. You are geared so high (The equivalent of a 2.55) that the engine has to work really hard to get upto speed or maintain speed. The 4:11 set up should help alot. with that big a tire you could go for 4:56.
