As would be more apparent from its properly written formula, Zn(ClO3)2, each formula unit contains 6 oxygen atoms, the product of the subscript immediately following the oxygen atomic symbol and the subscript following the parenthetical formula of the chlorate polyatomic ion of which the oxygen atoms present are a part.

I'm really not sure what chemical formula this is, if you're looking for Zinc chloride, there is no oxygen, and the chemical formula is ZnCl2 (2 being a subscript). In this particular chemical formula, if the 3 is a subscript, then there would be 6 oxygen (O) atoms in there, I believe. If the 3 is not a subscript, there would still be 6 oxygen atoms.
