That would depend on who you ask. Adherents to the 'Documentary Hypothesis' of the Age of Enlightenment (18th Century) would say at least 2 in Genesis and perhaps a 3rd when considering the Book of Job. A more modern viewpoint is called the 'Tablet Theory' which says the creation account was recorded on tablets by the main players in subsequent generations, ie... Adam, Seth, etc until Moses consolidated and recorded in the book. There is even a third theory called the 'Gap Theory' which translates the verb in Genesis 1:2 'was' to 'became' as it is translated in Genesis 19:26. The significance of this change is that it would meld nicely with Psalm 104:30 and the Book of Job. This would tell of a time some call the 'rule of Angels' and the Age of Dinosaurs. In any event, to fully understand Scripture, one should read it for themselves approaching it in an open, humble way via prayer. Faith is also required as all things are not fully revealed as yet.
