how sucessful has internet advertisement been in the past decade. On the whole internet advertisement can be successful or a complete failure due to the following circumstances; How it is being advertised: Annoying pop ups result in failure, subtle adverts inmbedded into a website on the side etc can help raise awareness about a product without you even realising it. Adverts through emails, you can be sent the latest information about what the company is now offereing etc. however they can also send "junk or spam" emails which are useless information. On the whole I think that internet advertising is not very successful as many people are too focused on a particular task when using a computerto realise the product being advertised. This is also caused because people can choose wether to receive/view adverts on the computer whereas on T.V. and radio you are forced to listen to adverts.

You are able to do voiceover work for tv or radio adverts. You could also do voice over work for short films. There are many people on the internet creating works which need voiceover.

Advertising - on any website (not just this one) - helps to pay for the equipment providing the service, and the staff to operate them. If there was no advertising on websites, the monthly cost you, the 'end user' would have to pay your Internet Service Provider (ISP) would be prohibitively expensive. This would make the Internet available to only the people who could afford the higher cost for access of making it affordable to everyone who has a computer.I agree some adverts can be annoying - but it's a small 'price to pay' for cheaper internet access. Incidentally... there are ad-blocker programs available (not that I would ever advocate using such software) !
