I think there are about 50 amazon river dolphins left and only a few Chinese river dolphins left. there are other kinds of river dolphins but I don't know how many are living. They are endangered. Well really there are just the pink dolphins left. And they are endangered. There are only like 1200 left in the Amazon River. They are the last surviving river dolphin.

Dolphins DO live in the tidal regions of many rivers. Along with seals, manatee and dugong, they are commonly seen up to 50 -80 miles from the sea. -While canoeing in our Fraser River in British Columbia, I have often seen seals 60 miles from the Georgia Strait.
