It is assumed that we are talking about 1 oz meatballs that you can buy frozen at wholesale clubs and supply houses. Organizations like the Red Cross, Southern Baptist Convention and caterers use 6 per person for planning with about 2 oz (half cup) of rice or noodles. Hope that helps.

You can make around 20 meatballs from 2 lbs of ground meat. Doing your math, that means you get 10 meatballs per pound, so you'll need 20 pounds of meat to get 200 meatballs. (20 divided by 2 = 10, then 200 divided by 10 = 20)
