1Megabyte = 1024 Kilobytes = 1024*1024 Bytes = 1024*1024*8 bits. The question is very unclear on basic storage unit of memory and I am assuming that it is asking for how many physical transistors it contains. There are many answers to it but the assuming 1 transistor can hold 1 bit the answer can safely be 1024*1024*8

What are 2 storage capacities of a basic CD-rom expressed in Megabytes of Data?

Two storage capacities of a basic CD-ROM expressed are 682 MB and 700 MB. The Compact Disk is responsible for the floppy diskette becoming obsolete as a medium of data storage.

What is the basic storage unit in memory?

A byte (character) is the basic storage unit in memory.

What is a CPU memory unit?

RAM is generally measured in Megabytes or Gigabytes

What are the measurements for computer memory?

The most basic type of measurement in computers or memory storage systems, are bytes. Bytes are so small however, that usually the smallest unit of memory used in the modern computer systems are kilobytes. Kilobytes are equivalent to 1,000 bytes. Here is a chart to display the most used units in computers, and what they are equal to. Bytes = Basic Unit Kilobyte = 1,000 bytes Megabyte = 1,000 kilobytes Gigabyte = 1,000 megabytes Terabyte = 1,000 gigabytes Currently, modern computers have a max amount of storage of about 1 terabyte, and that is for a $1,000 plus computer. My computer has a total of 500 gigabytes of memory, or 1/2 1 terabyte. My computer cost $750.

Which byte is found on a hard drive is it megabyte or gigabyte?

A byte is the basic unit of storage. A megabyte refers to 1 million bytes, a gigabyte is 1 billion bytes. These are the SI standards.

What are the system requirements to install Windows Vista?

The system requirements for Vista Home Basic are as follows: 800MHz 32-bit or 64-bit processor, 512 MB system memory, DirectX 9 graphics card, 32 MB graphics memory and at least 15 Gig free on your hard drive.

Is 1 mb cache adequate?

1 GB of RAM is a enough memory to run all the basic softwares.

How many many megabytes is equal to 120 minutes?

There is no sensible answer to the question. A megabyte is a measure of computer memory whereas 120 minutes is a measure of time. According to basic dimensional analysis conversion from one to the other is not valid. For example, consider 120 minutes of high quality video and 120 minutes of low quality audio: there will be a huge difference in the memory requirements of the two.

What's the order of the basic memory processes in which information enters your memory system and is used later?

Encoding - storage - retrival.

How many seconds is 1 MB?

A mb is a measure of volume data storage. A second is a measure of time. It could be a fraction of an angle but that is unlikely in this context). An mb and second measure different things and, according to the basic principles of dimensional analysis, conversion from one to the other is not valid. 1 mb will hold a much longer time's worth of low quality audio than it will a high quality video.

What is the different of Mb and Kb?

The basic unit of memory or storage in computing is the bit, which are typically collected in groups of 8 called a byte. Roughly 1000 bytes (to be exact, 1024) is called a kilobyte or Kb. Roughly 1000 Kb (again, exactly 1024) is a megabyte or Mb. Large amounts include the gigabyte (Gb) and terabyte (Tb), again each 1024 times larger than the previous.
