It is inside of the fuel tank, You will have to remove the fuel tank to get it out. or you can take the bed bolts out and raise one side of the bed up and take the pump out of the top of the tank.
you have a choice of dropping the fuel tank or removing bolts holding the bed to frame and sliding bed back to expose the top of fuel tank. pump is inside of fuel tank
The Fuel pump is mounted in the fuel tank Make sure the tank is nearly empty as it is very heavy, even when empty. Drop the Fuel Tank, make sure you WD40 the bolts 1st as they tend to snap off.

The 1996 Chevrolet blazer gas filter is in the fuel tank. Drain the fuel from the tank. Remove the gas filter retaining bolts. The gas filter will come out.
The fuel pump is down in the gas tank. Remove the tank and you will see where the fuel pump is plugged in. Just remove the bolts and unplug everything and reverse the procedure with your new pump.

It's inside your gas tank. The gas tank is on the left side of the vehicle. There is a strap that goes around it and bolts to the frame and a strap that goes around it and bolts to a crossmember. If you get under there and look you can see the hoses coming from the top of the tank. That's the fuel pump.
