There are approximately 267 or more, that is including ponies. And do you want a list of their colors they can be?
They can be. Ponies come in many different breeds, like Connemaras, POA's, Shetlands, etc. Some breeds allow for lots of different colors, others say purebreds are only acceptable if they have a certain coloration/marking. As a whole though, ponies can be chestnuts but aren't all chestnuts. Ponies are really just horses less than 14.3 hands, so they share many characteristics including coloration.
There are tons of horse breeds and crossbreeds. Here a a few types: Arabians, Morgans, Tennessee Walking Horses, Saddlebreds, Quarter Horses, Friesians, Percherons, Mustangs, Clydesdales, Shires, Welsh Mountain Ponies, Shetland Ponies, American Shetland Ponies, Appaloosas, Akhal - Teke, and many more.
