Unlike refined (processed) carbohydrates, the carbohydrates in fresh fruit and fresh vegetables are considered 'good' carbs. If you are counting carbohydrates, some fruit and vegetables are higher in carbs than others are.

For the carbohydrate content of fruit and vegetables, and fruit and vegetable carbohydrate charts that you can use as daily guides, see the page links, further down this page, listed under Related Questions.

Not exactly. However, too much, especially the more processed carbs, tend to be worse for you than too little or a balanced amount every day.. Your body needs carbs as an energy source, especially before strenuous activity like that of sports. Too much carbs and not enough fruit and vegetables could make things hard for you.

Carbohydrates can be good and bad for the body. Carbohydrates are digested to produce glucose. Glucose is the fuel that powers the body. Although humans cannot digest some forms of carbohydrates, such as cellulose fiber, they are part of a healthy diet because they aid digestion. Excessive carbohydrate consumption will cause health problems. See the link

Processed flours, sugars, cereals, breads, potato chips/crisps, ice cream, pasta, Pizza, cakes, biscuits/cookies, desserts, etc., (all refined/processed carbohydrates) are generally regarded as "bad"... or "empty calories"... and are better saved for the occasional treat.

For a list of refined (processed) carbohydrates, see the page link, further down this page, listed under Related Questions. Fresh vegetables are generally regarded as "good" or better carbohydrates and good for health (organic vegetables are even better).

(However, a glass or two of red wine is good for you. The key is moderation with all things.)

There is no such thing as "good" carbs or "bad" carbs. Carbs come in many forms, namely;

Monosaccharides, disaccharides and polysaccharides. All of these occur naturally in food.

Rice is from a plant and so is made mainly from starch, a polysaccharide.
