My Chilton repair manual engine wiring schematic, for the 1996 Ford Explorer with a 4.0 L OHV engine shows 3 . Two are upstream (before the catalytic convertor) and one downstream (after the catalytic convertor - which is an oxygen sensor but is used to monitor the efficiency of the catalytic convertor)
MY 2000 has 3.
hi . I just went to the auto parts and they tell me that there are 3 catalytic converters on a 2001 Mazda mpv .
It has 3 .
There are 4 O2 sensors in 1999 suburban.Bank 1 sensor 1, bank 1 sensor 2 on the driver side before Catalytic Convertor. Bank 2 sensor 1 on exhaust Manifold, passenger side. Bank 1 sensor 3 is after catalytic convertor.
There are actually 4 of them . 1) on the LEFT exhaust manifold. 2) on the RIGHT exhaust manifold. 3) Just BEFORE the catalytic convertor. 4) Just AFTER the convertor
1 & 1 muffler each tailpipe unless it has dual exhaust.
There are 3 , two in the header pipes right below the heads and one that is located downstream of the catalytic converter.
That would be the sensor after the catalytic converter.
A Nissan Primastar is a rebadged Renault Traffic or Vauxhall/Opel Vivaro. There are three on the 1.9DCi (Renault F9X Engine), one after the manifold, one before/on the Catalytic convertor and one post catalytic convertor. ODBC Diagnostics will tell you which sensor failed. Typically P0042 - HO2S Heating control Circuit : Bank 1 Sensor (1,2 or 3 in order of above)
how many catalytic converters are in a nissan quest?
It or they are either screwed into the exhaust manifold(s) or exhaust pipe. The 1991 and 1992 4.0 L OHV engines have 1 oxygen sensor The 1993, 1994, and 1995 4.0 L OHV engines have 2 oxygen sensors The 1996 and newer 4.0 L OHV engines have 3 oxygen sensors The 1997 and newer 4.0 L SOHC engines have 4 oxygen sensors The oxygen sensors installed "upstream" before the catalytic convertor(s) are used for engine management The oxygen sensors installed "downstream" after the catalytic convertor(s) are called catalyst monitors and monitor the efficiency of the catalytic convertor(s)
