How many cats drink milk?

I have been told on a animal care course that milk has lactose in it and it curdles in the cats stomach and can cause discomfort, i never give my cats milk for this reason, i would buy cat milk in replacement..my cats drink water everyday.. milk days are treat days x

i would say many cats do drink milk and love it on a daily basis, i would say 50% of all cats in the whole world drink milk on a daily basis....

Many cats will drink milk and love the taste. I can imagine most cat owners give their cats cow's milk. However, lots of cats become ill after drinking milk as they are lactose intolerant. You can buy special cat milk which is specially formulated and safe for the cat to drink.

Aside from very young kittens that have not yet been weaned, no breed of cat needs to drink milk. Specially formulated cat or kitten milk can be given as a treat, and is often made from goat's milk with added nutrients, but this is not an essential part of a cat's diet.

It is not ideal to feed a cat cow's milk, as some cats cannot digest the lactose present in cow's milk and can cause diarrhea.

They have to be 1 or YOUNGER or else they get... well problems. because they cannot digest i properly.

After kittens are eight to ten weeks old they should be weaned. You should not give them cow's milk. Many of them are lactose intolerant, and if you want to give them cow's milk you should just give them a little as a test, and then if they get diarrhea or vomit or the other things, you should stop. But some cats aren't lactose intolerant, and then a little milk as a treat is fine. You still shouldn't give them too much because they can still get a tummy ache. If they love milk and they cannot tolerate it, give them lactose free milk or soy milk.
