∙ 13y agoAbigail Adams had 6 children but most people believe that Abigail and John Adams only had 5 children because there sixth child (a girl) died when born. Therefore, she was never given a name. (in order) there children are Nabby (Abigail) born in 1765, John Quincy born in 1767, Susanna born in 1768, Charles born in 1770, and Thomas born in 1772

∙ 15y agoSix. I think six lived, so there may have been a total of 7 or 8 born. Most colonial families lost one or two children in childhood for various reasons. When Adams left his wife and children to be arevolutionary as the British troops were moving towards their house outside of Concord. She asked him what she should do if the army arrived close to them. He told her to take the children and hide in the woods. I always have thought that wasn't too helpful or protective on his part.
