Mary Tudor, Henry VIII's younger sister was born on 18th March 1496.
She should not be confused with Henry VIII's daughter, also named Mary Tudor, who became Queen Mary I of England and had no children.
On 19th October 1514 Henry's sister, Mary married King Louis XII of France - there were no children and King Louis died on 1st January 1515.
On 3rd March 1515, she married Charles Brandon, Duke of Suffolk.
Their children were:
Henry Brandon, born 11th March 1516. He later became Earl of Lincoln.
Frances Brandon, born 16th July 1517. In 1533 she married Henry Grey, Marquis of Dorset and by him was the mother of Lady Jane Grey.
Eleanor Brandon, born 1519. She married Henry Clifford and became Countess of Cumberland.

He was the friend of Henry VIII. He went to France during the marriage of Henry's sister Mary to the king of France. After the Kings death Charles married Mary and had several children by her.

Mary I died on 17th November 1558 and was succeeded by her half sister, Elizabeth daughter of Henry VIII's second wife, Anne Boleyn. She became Queen Elizabeth I and reigned until her death on 24th March 1603.
