Thomas Jefferson was asked by Ben Franklin, John Adams and a couple of other to creat the Declaration based upon all of their ideas. Ben Franklin, mainly, edited the Declaration before it was formally written.
I would say that there were 4 or maybe 5 people involved.
Five committee members.

The committee tasked with writing the Declaration of Independence consisted of five members: Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Roger Sherman, and Robert R. Livingston. All members of this committee were men, reflecting the gender dynamics of the time. The committee's work ultimately led to the adoption of the Declaration on July 4, 1776.
There are many things I would write in the Declaration of Independence. One thing that pops into my mind would be that future presidents are not able to change or modify anything in this declaration.
we never figured it out yet
