have participated in scouting. 29 of the 535 members (5.4%) are Eagle Scouts.

Since inception in 1910 there have been a little over 100 million Boy Scouts with a little over 2 million of them earning Eagle Scout, or about 2%.

Currently, despite the Eagle requirements getting more stringent over the years, there are about 50,000 Eagle awards per year out of about 909,000 total Boy Scouts.

While it is true that several Eagle Scouts have become members of Congress it only a very small minority. It should not be allowed to taint the good works the millions of other Eagles have done.
