On his exploration voyage of 1513, on which he named Florida, he had 3 ships and 200 men. He also rescued the crew of another Spanish ship that had followed him and was wrecked in a storm.
On his final voyage in 1521, he carried another company of about 200, but most were colonists for his proposed settlement on the Gulf coast in southwestern Florida. A native attack ruined his plans by chasing away the settlers, and poison from a native arrow eventually caused his death, shortly after their return to Cuba.

The names of his crew members are unknown because his voyage happened so long ago and there are probably not any documents surving today that tell the names of his crew members.
Juan Ponce De Leon's impact was he found Florida and named it after all the flowers he saw. He was in search for The Fountain Of Youth. He went on to try to find it again but landed on the West coast of Florida and Indians shot at him and his crew. Ponce got hit by an arrow and later died from his wounds.
He was killed by a poisoned arrow that went to his thigh (with the poisonous sap was from a tree). The colonists that were on his expedition (this was during his last trip to Florida) sailed with him to Havana, Cuba where he died of the poison. He is buried in Puerto Rico.
