Crunches will help you to get abs however, you will not be able to see them without losing weight. If you have a layer of fat over your abs, no amount of crunches will give you the abs that you are looking for.
Do crunches daily or get a hard working physical labor job. Or both.
you cant. but you can get abs by doing bicycle crunches and regular crunches.
Dont add weight to your routines. Stick with planks crunches and sit up these will tone your abs not making them bulky.
By doing physical activities we can get flat abs. Cardio is good to lose abs, in cardio also especially crunches work a lot to reduce abs. With exercise fat free food is also very much important.
It's not that crunches don't work, it's that they won't get you a flat stomach. What you want is to do cardio. Anything that gets your body moving and your heart rate up will help you lose fat. When you do lose the fat around your stomach you will see the results of the crunches (muscle definition). It's good to do both (and not just crunches other "absentric" moves) if you want a flat stomach, but being active and eating well will lose the fat that is really the point of flat stomacs.

There is no number for everyone- each person has a different number.
it is always good to get the exercise with crunches but does not help get abs. it will help your stomach get tougher though so the more you work on it the tougher your stomach will get, but you wont have abs!
