It depends on the temperature and humidity in the area surrounding the cup. The hotter it is, the quicker the water will evaporate.

If it is cold then the water will evaporate slowly. Too cold and it will freeze. But even ice evaporates although slowly.

There are too many variables to determine.

Is the cup of water in a cup or on a cookie sheet? The more surface area of the water the faster it will evaporate. You also have to factor in the temperature (if it is 32 degrees it will take an awfully long time!) as the hotter the faster it will evaporate. And the humidity of the air is also a factor.

Mark's answer is totally correct - there is no way to predict evaporation because there are too many different things you can do to make it evaporate more quickly or more slowly. That would make a great science experiment - put the water in different types of containers and measure how long it takes for each one to evaporate.
